A rapidly growing technical consultancy is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to design and support cloud-based computing environments used for advanced data science and statistical analysis in highly regulated environments.
This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role — ideal for someone who can both architect solutions and troubleshoot complex technical environments directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical discussions with clients and translate requirements into scalable cloud architectures
- Design and deploy secure, reliable computing environments for data science platforms
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, access control, monitoring)
- Support installation and migration of statistical computing environments (e.g. SAS, R)
- Troubleshoot Linux, containerised, and cloud infrastructure issues in client environments
- Lead project delivery and act as the primary technical contact for key accounts
- 5+ years experience in cloud architecture / cloud engineering
- Strong Linux systems and networking experience
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience supporting data science / statistical computing environments
- Expert in R and/or Python
- Client-facing consulting or solutions architect background
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Experience with data science platforms (e.g. Posit, Domino, Sycamore)
- Exposure to clinical research / GxP environments
- CI/CD pipeline design and deployment
