Are you a commercially minded Operations Director, MD, or COO who thrives on taking ambitious physical concepts and turning them into scalable, high-yielding operating businesses?
We are launching the Bury National Performance Centre (BNPC)—a premier, single-storey commercial showcase venue in Greater Manchester. We are bridging the gap between elite athletics, corporate performance wellness, and local community impact.
The vision, athletic strategy, and a commercial partnerships are firmly in place. Now, we need our "Integrator"—an operational partner to own the engine room, lead execution, and prepare the business for institutional growth and capital delivery.
Your Mission
Partnering directly with the Founder, you will take full operational ownership of bringing this multi-pillar facility to life. You will ensure the business is operationally bulletproof, fully compliant, and structured for frictionless delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Architecture & Tech Stack: Oversee the implementation of smart-access control, member management platforms, and facility automation workflows.
- Build & Fit-Out Oversight: Liaise with property surveyors, commercial landlords, and fit-out contractors to keep the project on timeline and on budget.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure robust health & safety, local authority safeguarding standards for youth programs, and sports governing body compliance.
- Commercial SLAs & Contractor Frameworks: Draft and manage service level agreements for resident performance coaches, health practitioners, and facility partners.
- Investor & Data Room Readiness: Refine operational readiness, manage CapEx allocations, and structure the data room for strategic capital partners.
Who You Are
- Proven Operator: You have experience as an MD, COO, or Operations Lead in SME leisure, commercial health/wellness, hospitality, or sports infrastructure.
- Detail-Obsessed Integrator: You love operational systems, commercial contracts, property logistics, and workflow efficiency.

You understand the Greater Manchester commercial landscape and are excited by building a tangible regional landmark asset.
Strategic Partner
You are comfortable working on a structured sweat equity / performance-vesting model during the pre-construction launch phase, transitioning to a paid retainer as operational milestones are hit.
Remuneration & Equity
- Equity Stake: 7.5% – 10% Ordinary Shares in BNPC OpCo, structured on a standard 3-year vesting schedule with founder protection clauses.
- Future Cash Retainer: Pre-agreed monthly cash retainer (£1,500 – £3,000/mo fractional) triggered upon reaching operational EBITDA benchmarks.
- SEIS/EIS Advantage: Positioned for significant equity value creation upon future strategic exit.
