Fractional Finance Director / CFO | Supporting ambitious business owners looking to Exit - Self Employed
Entrepreneurs Hub is looking to connect with experienced Fractional Finance Directors and CFOs to support some of our clients.
We work with ambitious owner-managed businesses, helping their owners plan for growth and, when the time is right, achieve a successful sale. We’re looking for finance leaders who have done both: helped businesses grow and supported owners through the sale process.
You’ll work closely with some of our clients business owners and management teams, bringing clear financial insight, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to guide them through important decisions.
The work may include:
- Strengthening financial reporting, management information and KPIs
- Developing budgets, forecasts and cash-flow plans
- Improving margins, profitability and financial controls
- Supporting growth plans and investment decisions
- Helping owners prepare their business for a future sale
- Supporting financial preparation, due diligence and the sale process
- Working alongside Entrepreneurs Hub and the client’s wider advisory team
We’d like to hear from people who:
- Have experience as a Finance Director or CFO, ideally in owner-managed or SME businesses
- Have helped business owners grow and improve performance
- Have supported clients through a business sale, M&A transaction or exit
- Can communicate clearly with owners and management teams
- Are practical, commercially minded and comfortable working flexibly across different businesses
We’re interested in someone who:
- Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or has equivalent senior finance experience
- Has operated at Finance Director or CFO level
- Understands the realities of running an owner-managed or SME business
- Can explain financial issues clearly and build trust with business owners
- Is commercially minded, practical and comfortable working flexibly across different businesses
This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference to a range of businesses, working with entrepreneurs at important stages in their journey.
Location: ideally within 50 miles of Basingstoke (hybrid/remote, with some travel)
Salary: Day Rate
Require: Approx 1-4 days per month and increasing
