Overview

We are seeking a clinically credible and commercially driven Clinical Sales Associate to join a high-performing surgical sales team covering the South of the UK. We need individuals who understand the operating room environment and are looking to transition into, or further develop within, a commercial role. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with commercial acumen to support product adoption, drive sales growth, and build trusted partnerships across NHS and private hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities & Territory

  • Provide in-theatre clinical support, product training, and education to surgical teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor during product evaluations, trials, and formulary adoption processes.
  • Drive sales growth across the South UK through structured territory planning and effective pipeline management.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within NHS and private hospital accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, theatre managers, scrub teams, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Navigate hospital decision-making processes to secure and expand business.
  • Cover South UK (London, South East, South West and surrounding regions), with an ideal base in London or the South East.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Requirements, Profile & Package

  • Clinical background within operating theatres (Scrub Nurse, Theatre Nurse, ODP, Anaesthetic Practitioner or similar).
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures, theatre workflow, and experience working directly with surgeons and theatre teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the South of the UK.
  • Previous commercial healthcare experience (Sales, Clinical Educator, Clinical Advisor) desirable.
  • Experience supporting or selling surgical consumables and understanding of NHS procurement and tendering processes advantageous.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive product adoption within hospital environments.
  • Clinically credible, commercially aware, highly organised, and confident managing a territory.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, target-driven, with strong communication and presentation skills.
