About the Role

As the General Manager‑Finance, you will be at the helm of the NZ Finance team, driving financial performance and leading all financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting. As part of the Motion NZ Leadership team, you will bring smart business sense and lead a top‑performing team focused on strong controls and risk management. You’ll take charge of margin, pricing, expenses, and cash flow, making sure things are kept financially disciplined and in line with group standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of financial operations including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital reports.
  • Provide insightful business analysis and support to senior leadership for decision making.
  • Ensure robust controls and compliance with statutory legislation and company policies.
  • Manage and develop the NZ Finance team, setting KPIs and fostering a customer‑centric culture.
  • Support acquisitions and ensure seamless portfolio integration.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across Motion APAC, GPC, customers, and suppliers.

So Who Are You And What Is Your Profile?

You are CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with prior experience leading finance teams in a similar type role to this. Any experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution industries would definitely be preferred. You will possess strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability as well as proven leadership skills building high‑performing teams. You will have excellent communication skills, including executive reporting and stakeholder management skills. You will be proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, TM1 and ERP systems.
