We’re looking for a Quality / QHSE Manager to take ownership of health, safety, environmental and quality performance across UK and international operations. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll drive standards, influence culture and play a key part in maintaining a reputation for excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role with real breadth - from leading audits and compliance through to shaping strategy and embedding best practice across multiple sites.

Why this role? You’ll be joining a well-established, engineering-led business where QHSE is seen as critical to success, not just a compliance function. You’ll have the autonomy to make improvements, influence leadership, and build a strong, proactive safety and quality culture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading QHSE across UK and international sites, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and industry standards
  • Maintaining and developing quality management systems (ISO9001 / AS9100)
  • Driving a positive safety culture across the business
  • Leading internal and external audits, including supplier audits
  • Managing non-conformances, complaints, and corrective actions
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma)
  • Acting as the key contact for HSE and regulatory bodies
  • Leading investigations, risk assessments, and implementation of safe working practices
  • Delivering QHSE training across the business
  • Managing and developing the QHSE team
  • Reporting performance and key metrics to senior leadership

To be a success, you will need:

  • NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience across Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental within manufacturing
  • Proven track record of managing and improving QHSE systems
  • Experience with ISO standards (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategy and delivery
  • Internal audit experience
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel (including occasional international travel)

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma / IOSH membership
  • Experience within engineering, aerospace, oil & gas or similar sectors
  • Knowledge of machining or materials (ferrous / non-ferrous)
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience

Essential Details:

  • Position – Group QHSE Manager
  • Location – UK (multi-site with some international travel)
  • Salary – Competitive + benefits

Think you’ve got what we need? If you’re a QHSE professional who enjoys driving standards, improving systems and influencing culture at a senior level, I’d love to hear from you. Introduce yourself to Kerri-Ann Hargreaves at Consult KA by applying.
