Job Purpose
As an International Technical Support & Training Manager, you will lead international technical support, customer training, and technical education activities for the Potter and Safe Signal product ranges outside of the United States. You will become the recognized technical expert for their N2 Nitrogen Corrosion Prevention Solutions, Suppression Switches, and Releasing Panels, supporting global growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead international technical support expert for Potter and Safe Signal products.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for N2 Nitrogen Corrosion Prevention Systems, Suppression Switches, and Releasing Panels.
- Support distributors, installers, consultants, engineers, and end users with technical guidance and issue resolution.
- Manage technical escalations and international RMA processes in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Develop and deliver international technical training programs, webinars, workshops, and certification courses.
- Create and maintain technical training materials, presentations, manuals, and digital learning resources.
- Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-site training at our Portsmouth facilities and international customer locations.
- Support and mentor regional technical teams and trainers to ensure consistent global technical support standards.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for N2 corrosion prevention and suppression solutions.
- Educate customers and partners on corrosion prevention, nitrogen applications, suppression integration, and system benefits.
- Support sales and business development teams through technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer engagement.
- Represent Potter and Safe Signal at trade shows, seminars, and industry events worldwide.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and marketing teams on product launches, customer education, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of international industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives and team success.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Extensive experience within the fire alarm, suppression, or life safety systems industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of releasing panels, suppression systems, fire alarm interfaces, system commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in technical support, field engineering, commissioning, technical training, or technical leadership roles.
- Experience delivering technical training to engineers, distributors, and customers.
- Experience developing structured technical training programs or certification programs.
- Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities.
- Comfortable working internationally across multiple regions and cultures.
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

This is a full-time position, on-site at their Portsmouth, UK location. The expected schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but an occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate project schedules.
