As a leading processor of organic waste, they recycle food waste from over 50 local authorities, food manufacturers, brokers, and retailers, converting their food waste into renewable energy. It also operates 30+ solar farms, 6 wind farms and 5 hydroelectric power plants.
As Solar Site Engineer, you’ll provide essential on the ground support to oversee the installation and commissioning of primarily solar projects but with potential opportunity to work across the renewables portfolio.
- Supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Oversee the installation of key system components, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Support implementation and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Provide technical guidance and support, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of on-site activities, including progress reports and inspection log.
Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Construction, or a related field. Experience in utility scale solar energy installation or a similar role is highly desirable. Proficiency in the English language. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite. Full driving license and comfortable travelling between different site locations.
