About the Role
Consult Construct Limited is looking to appoint a high-calibre Chartered Building Surveyor to join our growing professional team. This is a key appointment for the business and an opportunity for an ambitious surveyor to take ownership of a varied workload across professional and project-led instructions, while helping shape the future growth of our service offering. Working closely with our Technical Director and wider leadership team, you will manage client relationships, lead projects, provide trusted technical advice, and deliver work to a consistently high professional standard. Alongside traditional Building Surveying services, there will also be opportunities to contribute to specialist external wall, cladding remediation and wider building safety commissions delivered by our dedicated fire team. This role would suit either a newly Chartered surveyor ready for the next step, or a more experienced professional seeking greater autonomy, influence and progression within a dynamic independent consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Professional & Project Delivery
- Lead and deliver a range of Building Surveying instructions across multiple clients
- Undertake surveys, inspections and technical reporting
- Manage projects from instruction through to completion
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, tender documentation and reports
- Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and client expectations
- Act as Contract Administrator where required
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide clear, practical and commercially aware advice
- Act as a trusted point of contact throughout project delivery
- Support business development opportunities and repeat business growth
- Commercial & Operational Awareness
- Manage workload efficiently across multiple live instructions
- Maintain accurate time recording and project information
- Support WIP management and timely invoicing
- Identify project risks, delays or commercial issues early
- Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinator and wider team
- Building Safety & Specialist Work
- Support commissions relating to external wall systems, cladding remediation and building safety where appropriate
- Contribute to the continued growth of our specialist fire team offering
- Team Contribution

- Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate

About You
We are interested in capable professionals who combine technical credibility with commercial awareness and a positive approach. You are likely to have:
- MRICS (or equivalent Chartered status)
- Experience delivering Building Surveying services within consultancy or client environments
- Experience managing projects independently
- Strong technical reporting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of contracts and project delivery
- Commercial awareness and pride in delivering high standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Location
This role is based from our office at Gunpowder Works, Faversham, Kent. Faversham benefits from strong rail links into London and Kent, however the office is located outside the town centre, so candidates must be able to reliably travel to the office and project sites as required. Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate, subject to business needs.
