Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager who can become a key part of their engineering and commercial team.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where no two days are the same.

You'll take ownership of engineering projects from initial enquiry through quotation, manufacturing and final delivery, acting as the link between customers, suppliers, engineering and production.

The Role

You'll be responsible for coordinating customer projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical requirements, commercial expectations and delivery schedules are achieved.

Working alongside experienced manufacturing engineers, production teams and commercial colleagues, you will:

  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
  • Liaise with customers to fully understand project requirements and provide technical support.
  • Work closely with estimating, manufacturing and production teams to develop accurate quotations and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and procurement activities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and resolve technical issues.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project delivery.

About You

We're looking for an experienced engineering professional who combines strong technical ability with excellent project management and customer-facing skills.

Ideally you will have

  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager or Technical Project Engineer.
  • A Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC, HND or Degree preferred).
  • Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to liaise directly with customers.
  • Experience coordinating engineering, production and supply chain activities.
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Highly Desirable Backgrounds
