As part of that continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Regional Sales Specialist to drive business development and account growth across the East Midlands territory.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to become a key part of a modern, progressive and commercially aggressive engineering business that genuinely values autonomy, technical competence and long-term relationship building. The successful candidate will inherit an established customer base whilst also being given the freedom and backing to aggressively develop new business opportunities across OEMs, End Users, Engineering Companies and Industrial Distribution.

You will be working closely with customers across a broad range of industries including:

  • Manufacturing
  • Materials Handling
  • Food & Beverage
  • Quarrying & Aggregates
  • Recycling
  • Steel & Metals
  • Packaging
  • Automation
  • Process Industries
  • General Industrial Engineering

The company are particularly keen to attract individuals who enjoy technically consultative sales rather than transactional box shifting. This is a role where engineering conversations matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow sales across the East Midlands territory
  • Manage and strengthen existing customer relationships
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across OEM and End User markets
  • Promote a broad range of industrial power transmission and drivetrain solutions
  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance and reliability teams at site level
  • Drive aftermarket opportunities including repairs, upgrades, retrofits and replacement solutions
  • Provide technically consultative support to customers
  • Produce quotations and manage projects through to completion
  • Develop strategic growth plans for the region
  • Represent the business professionally across customer visits, exhibitions and industry events
  • Maintain strong pipeline activity and territory management

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within field-based technical sales
  • Background within industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong knowledge of transmissions including: Gearboxes, Geared Motors, Electric Motors, Drives, Couplings Power Transmission Systems, Rotating Equipment
  • Technically credible with the ability to communicate confidently with engineers and decision makers
  • Commercially driven with strong business development instincts
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating autonomously
  • Strong relationship-building and account management capability
  • Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
