The business supports a broad customer base across manufacturing, energy, food & beverage, water utilities, marine, steel, oil and gas, process engineering, OEM and heavy industrial sectors, offering customers genuine engineering expertise and service-led solutions rather than simply supplying products. Due to continued growth and investment within the aftermarket and service division, they are now seeking a commercially driven and technically credible Aftermarket Sales Manager to develop existing accounts and drive new business growth across the region.

The Opportunity

This is not a transactional sales role. The successful individual will work closely with engineering, maintenance and operational teams within major industrial accounts, identifying opportunities surrounding:

  • Gearbox repairs & refurbishment
  • Rotating equipment upgrades
  • Reliability improvement programmes
  • Lifecycle and asset management solutions
  • Preventative maintenance strategies
  • Service agreements & aftermarket support
  • Drive system optimisation
  • Obsolescence upgrades and retrofit solutions

You will inherit existing customers whilst also developing new business opportunities across OEM and end-user environments. This position would suit an individual who enjoys technically consultative, engineering-led sales and can confidently engage customers around reliability, downtime reduction, maintenance strategy and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow existing industrial accounts across the territory
  • Identify and convert new aftermarket and service opportunities
  • Promote engineering services, repairs, refurbishment and upgrade solutions
  • Conduct customer site visits and technical discussions
  • Work closely with internal engineering and operational teams
  • Develop installed-base opportunities and long-term customer relationships
  • Produce commercially and technically viable solutions
  • Drive revenue growth and gross margin performance
  • Maintain structured pipeline and CRM management

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within technical sales, aftermarket sales or engineering-led business development
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and power transmission products such as gearboxes, motors, drives, bearings, couplings or related systems
  • Experience within MRO, industrial service, OEM or heavy engineering environments
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineering, maintenance and operational stakeholders
  • Commercially driven with strong relationship-building capability
  • Engineering qualification/apprenticeship advantageous but not essential
  • Experience selling service, repair, refurbishment or lifecycle solutions would be highly advantageous

Whats on Offer

  • Excellent salary and bonus structure
  • Company vehicle
  • Strong existing customer base
  • High level of autonomy
  • Career development opportunities within a growing engineering group
  • Opportunity to work on technically complex industrial applications
  • Stable, long-term opportunity within a highly respected business

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious technical sales professional looking to move into a genuinely engineering-led aftermarket environment where technical credibility and customer value are truly appreciated. To be considered for this opportunity please send me an updated copy of your cv for immediate consideration.
