An established, globally backed manufacturer of conveyor, belt and belting solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the North West of England. The business designs and supplies engineered conveying solutions used within demanding industrial production environments where uptime, reliability and process efficiency are critical. Products and systems are selected and specified based on application, operating conditions and production demands, rather than sold as off-the-shelf items. Alongside belts and belting, the company works with a wide range of related engineered components used within conveyor and materials handling systems, giving sales professionals the opportunity to sell technically credible, value-led solutions into manufacturing customers.

The Role – Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities selling conveyor, belt and belting solutions into manufacturing end users across the North West
- Build strong relationships with engineering, maintenance, production and procurement teams
- Conduct site visits to understand conveyor layouts, duty cycles, operating conditions and application requirements
- Sell engineered solutions incorporating belts, belting and related conveyor components such as rollers, pulleys, drums, bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, wear parts, belt cleaners, tracking systems and conveyor accessories
- Take a consultative, solution-led approach focused on improving reliability, performance and reducing downtime
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and site surveys through to proposal, negotiation and close
- Grow existing accounts while maintaining a strong focus on new business development
- Work closely with internal technical, engineering and customer support teams
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management and sales forecasting

- Proven field-based B2B sales experience within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Experience selling conveyor systems, belts, belting or related engineered components
- A strong hunter mentality with a demonstrable track record of winning new business
- Technically minded, with the ability to understand applications and production processes
- Comfortable operating on customer sites and engaging with multiple decision-makers
- Commercially astute, organised and self-motivated
- Relationship-driven with a consultative sales approach
