The business supports a broad customer base across manufacturing, energy, food & beverage, water utilities, marine, steel, oil and gas, process engineering, OEM and heavy industrial sectors, offering customers genuine engineering expertise and service-led solutions rather than simply supplying products.
Due to continued growth and investment within the aftermarket and service division, they are now seeking a commercially driven and technically credible Aftermarket Sales Manager to develop existing accounts and drive new business growth across the region.
The Opportunity
This is not a transactional sales role. The successful individual will work closely with engineering, maintenance and operational teams within major industrial accounts, identifying opportunities surrounding:
- Gearbox repairs & refurbishment
- Rotating equipment upgrades
- Reliability improvement programmes
- Lifecycle and asset management solutions
- Preventative maintenance strategies
- Service agreements & aftermarket support
- Drive system optimisation
- Obsolescence upgrades and retrofit solutions
You will inherit existing customers whilst also developing new business opportunities across OEM and end-user environments. This position would suit an individual who enjoys technically consultative, engineering-led sales and can confidently engage customers around reliability, downtime reduction, maintenance strategy and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow existing industrial accounts across the territory
- Identify and convert new aftermarket and service opportunities
- Promote engineering services, repairs, refurbishment and upgrade solutions
- Conduct customer site visits and technical discussions
- Work closely with internal engineering and operational teams
- Develop installed-base opportunities and long-term customer relationships
- Produce commercially and technically viable solutions
- Drive revenue growth and gross margin performance
- Maintain structured pipeline and CRM management
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience within technical sales, aftermarket sales or engineering-led business development
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and power transmission products such as gearboxes, motors, drives, bearings, couplings or related systems
- Experience within MRO, industrial service, OEM or heavy engineering environments
- Ability to engage confidently with engineering, maintenance and operational stakeholders
- Commercially driven with strong relationship-building capability
- Engineering qualification/apprenticeship advantageous but not essential
- Experience selling service, repair, refurbishment or lifecycle solutions would be highly advantageous
