Consula recruiting on behalf of an established and respected care organization for compassionate, dependable and motivated Care Assistants to join its day-shift team in Derby. The Role
- Supporting residents with personal care in a way that protects dignity, privacy and independence
- Assisting with mobility, transfers and daily living activities inline with each resident's needs and agreed care plan
- Supporting residents at mealtimes, encouraging nutrition and hydration, and responding to individual dietary requirements
- Providing companionship, conversation and emotional reassurance
- Helping residents take part in activities, social occasions and day-to-day routines that are important to them
- Observing and reporting changes in a resident's wellbeing, mood or needs to the senior care team
- Maintaining accurate, timely care records and handing over information clearly to colleagues
- Working along side senior carers, nurses, managers and relative to provide consistent, personalised care
- Helping to maintain a clean, calm, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
