Our client is looking for a talented and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team at an exciting stage of their growth journey. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely management accounts, supporting the senior leadership team with financial insight, and playing an active role in improving the financial processes and controls of the business. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, to agreed deadlines. Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary, explaining key movements against budget and forecast. Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist with the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing supporting schedules as required. Produce ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions and strategic planning. Work closely with senior stakeholders, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight. Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and drive efficiencies across the finance function. Qualified or part-qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred. Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role, ideally within a fast-paced or growing business. Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of management accounts preparation and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or similar is advantageous. Strong communication skills — confident engaging with non-finance stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly. Salary of £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience.
