We are looking for a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join a well-established team based in London. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong engineering background, and is looking for a position where they can make a real contribution to the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

You will be working as part of a wider engineering team, supporting the maintenance, installation, and improvement of equipment and systems. You will be expected to bring both technical expertise and a practical, problem-solving mindset to everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on engineering equipment and systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently, minimising disruption to operations.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing, maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to ongoing engineering projects.
  • Work in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
  • Liaise with other departments and external contractors as required to support engineering activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Technician or similar hands-on engineering role.
  • A relevant engineering qualification – HNC, HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
  • Based in or able to commute to Manchester.
