About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading construction and development business to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP / M&E experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive organisation delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. You will take ownership of the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of MEP / M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account
- Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts specific to building services works
- Procure and manage M&E subcontractors
- Assess and value variations, claims, and interim applications
- Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks within MEP packages
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams
- Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on MEP / M&E works
- Background in construction, building services, or engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of contract forms such as JCT and NEC
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and complex services installations
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
