About the Role

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established building contractor to recruit a Minor Works / Building Refurbishment Manager on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to manage refurbishment and maintenance projects ranging from £500 to £50,000 across sectors including social housing, education, healthcare and insurance works. The successful candidate will oversee projects from inception through to completion, coordinating trades, subcontractors and materials while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver refurbishment and minor works projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials across multiple live projects
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Prepare and oversee RAMS and Construction Phase Plans
  • Maintain cost control and assist with final accounts
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers throughout projects
  • Visit sites, assess requirements and prepare scopes of work
  • Monitor project quality, progress and health
