About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing construction company to recruit an Office-Based Quantity Surveyor. The business delivers refurbishment, fit-out, and general building works across the UK, and this role will support the commercial management of multiple live projects from the office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong construction knowledge and cost control experience who can manage projects from pricing stage through to final account while working closely with site teams and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations, cost plans, and tender submissions
- Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Monitor project expenditure including labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Track budgets and assist with commercial reporting
- Support procurement activities and obtain supplier pricing
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site teams on commercial matters
- Maintain accurate records including variations, cost reports, and project documentation
- Assist with forecasting and cost control across multiple projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction
- Strong understanding of construction costs, variations, and commercial processes
- Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good understanding of UK construction methods and standards
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Experience within refurbishment, drylining, or fit-out sectors
- Familiarity with CHAS, SSIP, or similar compliance systems
- Estimating and procurement experience
