About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established construction materials supplier to recruit a Joinery Surveyor. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and reputable business specialising in bespoke joinery, including staircase design and manufacture. You will play a key role in surveying, designing, and pricing a variety of joinery products, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery. The position would suit someone with a strong joinery background looking to move into a more technical and customer-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site surveys for bespoke joinery items, including staircases and other products
- Produce designs in line with customer specifications using CAD/CAM systems
- Prepare accurate quotations and costings for joinery works
- Generate work orders for manufacturing and production teams
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Provide excellent customer service and manage enquiries
- Use internal systems to manage orders, deliveries, and invoicing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards both on-site and in the workshop
Requirements
- Strong background in joinery, ideally within manufacturing or construction
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working for a joinery manufacturer
- Knowledge of CAD design software
- Experience using costing or estimating systems
- Background as a bench joiner or production operative using machinery
