Construo Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading property consultancy to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their growing nationwide surveying team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Building Surveyor with experience in residential property and project delivery to join a well-established organisation delivering surveying, major works and project management services across a diverse property portfolio.
The Role
- Delivering surveying and project management services, overseeing major works projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining high standards of customer service throughout project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carring out building surveys and preparing specifications of work
- Managing major works projects from inception through to completion
- Preparing CDM 2015 documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Administering Section 20 consultation processes in accordance with the Landlord and Tenant Act
- Supervising contractors on site to ensure quality, programme and health & safety standards are achieved
- Managing contractor and consultant performance throughout project delivery
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with client growth
- Providing technical support and mentoring within the surveying team
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the surveying function
- Undertaking CPD and maintaining professional standards
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
- MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant experience within residential property surveying and project delivery
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and Section 20 consultation procedures
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and major works projects
- Good commercial awareness and project management skills
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building pathology
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and performance specifications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with insurance reinstatement projects, EWS1 or FRAEW assessments desirable
