A well-established RICS-regulated practice is seeking a Residential / Commercial Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for an MRICS or AssocRICS qualified professional to join a growing consultancy delivering a varied workload across both residential and commercial property. The role would suit a Building Surveyor, Valuation Surveyor, or General Practice Surveyor seeking a diverse position with autonomy and flexibility.
You will be responsible for carrying out surveys, valuations, inspections, and providing professional advice across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and the wider North West.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake RICS Level 2 HomeBuyer Reports and Level 3 Building Surveys
- Carry out residential and commercial property valuations
- Deliver building surveying services including condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and technical reports
- Inspect a range of property types including houses, apartments, offices, and retail units
- Identify structural issues, defects, and maintenance requirements
- Produce accurate and RICS-compliant reports for clients
- Provide professional advice on property condition, refurbishment, and risk
- Manage your own diary, workload, and site visits efficiently
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualified
- Experience within residential surveying, commercial surveying, or building surveying
- Strong understanding of building construction, defects, and UK property standards
- Experience preparing professional survey reports and valuations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience undertaking commercial property surveys and valuations
- Knowledge of dilapidations or landlord & tenant matters
- Familiarity with the Greater Manchester / Cheshire property market
- Experience using surveying or reporting software
- Competitive salary between £40,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
