My client is a growing, premium electrical contractor based in Sandhurst, Berkshire, covering the South East. They specialise in high-quality domestic electrical work and are looking for an experienced electrician to become their first senior salaried hire. Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sandhurst. The Senior/Lead Domestic Electrician will perform a wide range of duties including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in domestic settings. Responsibilities include fault finding, troubleshooting, conducting routine maintenance, updating consumer units, and implementing efficient and compliant solutions. The role involves managing projects independently, liaising with clients, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

Main work:

  • Domestic installation, testing & Inspection (EICR) and remedials.
  • EV charge point installations (OZEV workflows, DNO notifications)
  • Setting the standard for workmanship, safety, and professionalism
  • Consumer unit upgrades & new circuits
  • Indoor & outdoor LED lighting projects
  • Customer communication & certification
  • Supporting and mentoring an apprentice as the business grows

Requirements:

  • Pride in quality, tidiness, appearance & customer service
  • Expertise in Electricity and Electrical Work, including knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting to address and resolve electrical issues effectively
  • Familiarity with Electrical Engineering concepts for innovative and efficient solutions
  • Proven ability to work independently while upholding safety and compliance standards
  • Strong project management and customer communication skills
  • Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • C&G 2391 Test and Inspection
  • Full UK driving license
