The RoleOne of our well established clients is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys taking projects from design stage through to fully commissioned, compliant fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities
Commission fire alarm systems in line with current British Standards and design specifications
Interpret drawings, quotations, and technical specifications to deliver fully operational systems
Carry out fault finding, testing, and final system validation
Produce accurate commissioning documentation and handover reports
Liaise with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery
Ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard
Requirements
Proven experience commissioning fire alarm systems
Strong knowledge of fire alarm regulations and standards (e.g. BS 5839)
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
Package & Benefits
£40,000 – £45,000 basic salary
OTE up to £60,000 with additional earnings
Work local to home (within 30 minutes where possible)
All additional travel time fully paid
