The Role
One of our well established clients is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys taking projects from design stage through to fully commissioned, compliant fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission fire alarm systems in line with current British Standards and design specifications
- Interpret drawings, quotations, and technical specifications to deliver fully operational systems
- Carry out fault finding, testing, and final system validation
- Produce accurate commissioning documentation and handover reports
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard
Requirements
- Proven experience commissioning fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm regulations and standards (e.g. BS 5839)
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
Package & Benefits
- £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary
- OTE up to £60,000 with additional earnings
