Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of renewable energy and low-carbon heating systems across the South West and Wales.
Working alongside Project Managers and clients, you'll play an integral role in delivering high-quality installations that support the UK's net-zero ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain renewable energy and energy efficiency systems, including:
- Solar PV installations
- EV charging infrastructure
- LED lighting upgrades
- Underfloor heating systems and associated controls
- Conduct site surveys, inspections and technical assessments across multiple UK locations.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs and planned maintenance to ensure optimum system performance.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with BS7671 and current industry regulations.
- Support the integration and delivery of heat decarbonisation projects and low-carbon heating solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors and clients to deliver projects safely, on time and to the highest standards.
- Complete all commissioning documentation, certification and technical reports accurately.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Proven experience installing and maintaining renewable technologies, including Solar PV, EV charging and LED lighting.
- Experience working with underfloor heating systems or other low-carbon heating technologies.
- A strong understanding of energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation principles.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
- A full UK driving licence.
- ECS/CSCS card (desirable)
