Constructor is the next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce, built to explicitly optimize for metrics like revenue, conversion rate, and profit. Our search engine is entirely invented in-house utilizing transformers and generative LLMs, and we use its core and personalization capabilities to power everything from search itself to recommendations to shopping agents. Engineering is by far our largest department, and we’ve built our proprietary engine to be the best on the market, having never lost an A/B test to a competitive technology.

Out of necessity, our engine is built for extreme scale and powers over 1 billion queries every day across 150 languages and roughly 100 countries. It is used by some of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco. The Retail Media team is building a platform for connecting ecommerce retailers and brands. In a nutshell, retail media is the product that allows a brand to buy a placement within our customer’s search, browse, recommendations, collections, or quizzes results. A comprehensive retail media platform integrates seamlessly with online retailers, offering advanced targeting, bidding, and analytics capabilities. This platform aims to enhance ad visibility, optimize ad placement, and provide robust performance analytics.

The Retail Media team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will help us make data-driven product decisions, optimize customer and advertiser metrics, and scale the product. We are a cross-functional team working across Backend, Frontend, and Data Engineering.

Requirements:
  • Research product hypotheses to optimize main platform metrics for retailers and advertisers: ROAS, Ad spent, Churn Rate, etc.
  • Work with PMs and Engineers to scope the most important insights we expect to extract from our data and improvements that we’d like to bring to the platform.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical business partners to develop/update functionalities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders within and outside the team.
  • Own the results and business metrics for advertisers and retailers.
  • Participate in late-stage sales process and building demos for prospect customers.
  • You are proficient in BI tools (data analysis, building dashboards for engineers and non-technical folks).
  • You are an excellent communicator with the ability to translate business needs into a technical language and vice versa.
  • You are excited to leverage massive amounts of data to drive product innovation & deliver business value.
  • You are proficient at SQL (any variant), well-versed in exploratory data analysis with Python (pandas & numpy, data visualization libraries). Big plus is practical familiarity with the big data stack (Spark, Presto/Athena, Hive).
  • You are adept at fast prototyping and providing analytical support for initiatives in the e-commerce space by identifying & focusing on relevant features & metrics.
  • You are willing to develop and maintain effective communication tools to report business performance and inform decision-making at a cross-functional level.
  • Big plus is AdTech industry experience.
  • You’re able to defend your point of view in a reasoned and clear manner and listen to other people's opinions.
