Up to £65,000 plus excellent package
Interiors Sub-Contractor in London. Our client is a leading Sub-Contractor in London offering the complete design, supply and installation of passive fire protection systems including ceilings, partitions and dry lining as well as external works. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Design team with a strong Technical Co-ordinator.
Currently boasting a bulging portfolio of commercial and residential projects up to £4 million in value, they seek an experienced individual who would be looking to grow into a key member of the design team. This Technical position requires strong technical skills and good communication within the team.
You will need:
- To have a good understanding of Building Regs
- To have a good understanding of Firas Rules and Regulations and acceptable forms of Evidence
- To have a good understanding of Product and Test standards and their relative Direct and Extended fields of application
Day-to-day duties include:
- To review the First of a kind (benchmark) of each installation before submission to the client
- To monitor and review ongoing quality throughout the project
- To review Digital records to ensure clear and concise records of firestopping are maintained throughout the project
Weekly functions:
- To liaise with Main and Subcontractors on the Project
- To attend co-ordination meetings with MEP/Drywall Contractors to plan upcoming works
- Attend on site at various site offices and also work from company offices
- Report into Technical Manager based in Central London
Required Attributes and Experience:
The ideal Technical Co-ordinator will have in the region of 5 years experience working on interior or exterior projects with a relevant sub-contractor. Ideally, you will be HND or City and Guilds qualified in a relevant construction or engineering related discipline. Preferably, you will also be computer literate with programming experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments.
The successful Technical Co-Ordinator will offer a high level of professionalism at all times in dealing with clients and associated contractors. You will be able to handle demanding complex projects and show the capacity to absorb new knowledge quickly. The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the industry and can go beyond the stated level. The group are a recognised performer in the industry within the sector in which they operate.
