Our client is an expanding specialist sub-contractor actively working in the façade sector on a number of re-clad projects, offering the complete design, supply and installation of integrated façade and envelope solutions. With new project wins and more in the pipeline, they seek a re-clad Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:
- assisting in all aspects of the financial control of the project
- valuations
- measurements
- cost reports
- attending meetings
- ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken
- co-ordinating and agreeing the production of final accounts with various parties
- ensuring that project approvals and completions can be obtained at the required times
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have a minimum of 5 years practical experience gained within a suitable specialist sub-contractor, preferably with experience of curtain walling, cladding, glazing and roofing. Ideally, you will have worked on re-clad projects already, but Quantity Surveyors who have worked with main contractors or other specialist sub-contractors will be considered if they are adaptable and capable Quantity Surveyors keen to gain experience in cladding and façade systems or working with a specialist sub-contractor on large build projects.
You will have a focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and must be able to work as part of a team while possessing a high level of motivation. Ideally, you will also have a degree or equivalent qualification.
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the industry and can go beyond the stated level above for first-class individuals. Bonus and additional benefits also make up the package. The group is a recognised performer in the industry within the sector in which they operate.
