An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development professional to join a highly regarded and growing specialist interiors contractor operating within the London interior fit-out market. This is a senior-level appointment for somebody who understands how the fit-out sector works, has established relationships within the market and knows how to identify, develop and convert opportunities with leading contractors, clients, and end users.
The successful candidate will take a senior role in driving new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships across the London fit-out market. Responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients and decision-makers
- Identifying upcoming projects and opportunities at an early stage
- Developing relationships with pre-construction, estimating, procurement and commercial teams
- Working closely with senior management to develop the company's business development strategy
- Creating and managing a strong pipeline of suitable opportunities
- Attending client meetings, networking events and industry functions
- Understanding client requirements and positioning the business effectively for upcoming tenders and projects
- Maintaining contact with existing clients and developing repeat business
- Working alongside estimating, commercial and operational teams to help convert opportunities into secured work
- Monitoring market activity, contractor pipelines and competitor activity
- Representing the business professionally within the London construction and fit-out market
