Excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a growing established specialist sub-contractor. We are looking for a confident and professional individual with experience of passive fire protection projects to join our team.
Projects range from small works packages between £100k-£200k and larger projects up to £2.5m in value; all involving exciting transformations for our clients and the opportunity to create modern spaces where people can work well together.
You will be an experienced contractor's estimator, with at least 5 years' experience with a suitable sub-contractor or a fit out contractor working within the commercial and education sectors. You will also preferably have some professional qualifications.
- You will thrive in a team environment and have a keen sense for opportunity as well as strong professional integrity.
- You will have excellent IT, literacy and numeracy skills as well as the ability to analyse and report on commercial matters.
- You will have a good understanding of standard forms of construction contracts (JCT/NEC) with experience in traditional and design and build contracting.
- You will need to analyse schedules of work and be able to break out works packages into sub-contract enquiries for going to market.
- You will be expected to provide punctual reporting and presentation of supplier bids/packages to construction director and wider management team.
- You will be highly organised and able to manage your workload independently, with strong experience in working accurately to tight timescales and under pressure.
- You will be able to produce accurate, detailed, competitively priced tender bids, fully scoped and presented in logical manner for adjudication.
- You will assist with the production of pitch documents, in line with corporate presentation standards to accompany tender bids.
- You will work collaboratively as part of a pre-construction team, to deliver quality tender bids and secure works orders.
- You must possess excellent organisational skills in reviewing tender documents, identifying scope and packages that require pricing.
