Constructive Moves are recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a well-respected, privately owned housing contractor in Essex. In this role, you will be working closely with the cladding remediation team, offering a complete end-to-end service for high-rise and mid-rise façade remediation schemes.
Key duties include:
- Actively reviewing and analysing procurement and construction budgets.
- Monitoring construction costs against the budget.
- Producing monthly valuations in partnership with the Senior/Managing Surveyor.
- Attending design team meetings and subcontractor progress meetings.
- Liaising with the design team to align design concepts with approved budgets.
- Conducting post-tender and pre-order meetings with subcontractors.
- Agreeing on variations with subcontractors.
- Mentoring junior team members.
- Preparing monthly progress valuations.
- Costing and invoicing for variations.
- Contributing to tendering processes to ensure value for money and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cladding remediation projects, with a solid understanding of the Building Safety Act and façade works. If you have managed residential or commercial projects and possess these skill sets, get in touch.
