Constructions R US is a growing design and build office specialising in extensions, refurbishments, and new builds primarily across the residential sector within the North West London region.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across a range of construction trades, capable of supporting various tasks involved in property development and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general building tasks including laying bricks, tiles, and building blocks to construct, repair, and decorate buildings
- Pour and level concrete; prepare surfaces for painting and plastering; mix and apply plaster and paint
- Install basic plumbing fixtures, woodwork fittings, and assist with setting glass in frames
- Erect and repair fencing and carry out general maintenance and repair tasks on various structures
- Support site preparation, general labouring, and tool handling
- Assist joinery, plastering, and finishing teams as required
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organisation of work areas
- Follow site health & safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
- Collaborate with the site team and project managers to support timely project completion
- Proven hands-on experience in general construction or a related trade
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in construction or a related field
- Knowledge of basic construction safety standards and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and plans
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience with property refurbishments or residential extensions
- Familiarity with UK building codes and regulations
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude on site
