Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established mechanical contractor based in Liverpool. This is a permanent opportunity working across a range of public sector contracts including schools, healthcare facilities, and local authority buildings throughout the North West. The role offers local work with very little travel, a supportive team environment, and excellent long-term career prospects.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
  • Servicing, fault finding, and repairing commercial heating plant and associated equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Completing all relevant service reports and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients on site
  • Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications
  • Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
