We are currently recruiting for a Sub Agent or an experienced Senior Engineer ready to step up into a Sub Agent role to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Dundee area.
The Role
The successful candidate will join the site team during the early stages of the project and play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering the works safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating day-to-day site operations
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors
- Planning and overseeing earthworks and material processing activities
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, work packages and site documentation
- Monitoring progress against programme requirements
- Supporting commercial and project reporting functions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Essential Experience
A strong earthworks background is essential. This is not a simple cut-and-fill balance project. The successful candidate must have experience working on large-scale earthworks and material processing operations, with a solid understanding of:
- Bulk excavation and fill activities
- Material processing and reuse
- Earthworks specifications and quality control
- High-volume production environments
- Temporary works and earthworks methodologies
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working with SSE, Scottish Power or other utility clients
- Experience delivering substations, control buildings or similar infrastructure
- Working knowledge of highway specifications and earthworks standards
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- SMSTS and CSCS qualifications
