We're working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to support the delivery of highways and infrastructure projects across Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team delivering a varied programme of civil engineering works, including earthworks, drainage, structures and highways.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you'll provide engineering support throughout the construction phase whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, health & safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all site engineering activities.
- Engineering control and setting out.
- Supervising site activities and providing technical support to the workforce.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining quality assurance procedures and inspection records.
- Supporting the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing permits.
- Producing accurate site records, site diaries and as-built information.
- Promoting the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering.
- Experience delivering highways and infrastructure projects.
- Strong setting out and engineering control experience.
- Knowledge of earthworks, drainage and structures.
- Auto CAD experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
