We are looking for Material Site Technicians to join our team in Harrietsham for Concrete, Asphalt and soil testing and sampling. This is a no experience necessary position as we will give full training! All we need from you is a strong work ethic, a liking for being outdoors and being a team player!
You will be outside away from stuffy offices working on a wide variety of sites and major projects carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities. There will be some early starts with travelling, but who likes to be in the same place day in day out? You may even be asked to stay away or work night shifts now and again, but that adds to the excitement of a new career. We pay allowances for this too.
Experience / Skills:
- Educated to GCSE level or above with a good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Experience in construction laboratory testing is advantageous but not required.
- IT literate.
- Full UK Driving License.
- The role will also require accurate and consistent record keeping.
Working hours: 42.5 hours per week (longer days to be expected with travel) Working Monday - Friday (night work when necessary with options for weekend work when available)
Responsible to: Operation Supervisors and Operational Manager
Responsible for: Output of accurate testing data.
Objectives:
- To produce test results in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
- To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements.
- To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments in which to work.
Duties:
- To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.
- To integrate into the team and maintain a strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory.
Main Tasks:
- To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
- To maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment at all times.
- To carry out any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
