We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Field Materials Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site materials testing, analysis, and quality assessments across various construction, manufacturing, and industrial projects throughout the UK. You will also provide leadership and guidance to field-based teams, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.) according to UK industry standards (BS, EN, ASTM).
- Perform tests including plate bearing tests, DCP’s, HSV’s, NDG’s, various asphalt related testing and concrete cube making.
- Record and evaluate material performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain field-testing equipment.
- Collaborate with site teams to resolve material-related issues.
- Opportunity for progression to supervisory or management roles within the company.
Required
- 5-7 years of field-based experience in materials testing, with 2+ years in a senior technician role.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials testing.
