Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, qualified Pre-Employment Construction Tutors to join our existing team. This role will require the successful candidate to fully embrace our business ethos to ensure learner completion is achieved to the highest quality.\\n\\nThe role will encompass, teaching, learning and development of learners, which requires the delivery of high-quality teaching, assessment, and support to the classroom performance of the learners, with e-portfolio building using OneFile, ensuring that all required funding paperwork is completed.\\n\\nThe role of the Floating Tutor requires travel between our Skills Academies in the East Midlands region, and Pop-up academies, and will be required to cover staff absences.\\n\\nThe potential candidate will have experience in delivering flexible and blended training with e-portfolio in a classroom-based environment. Specialising in Construction theory and Health and Safety as mandatory topics.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will deliver a specialist 2 – 4 weeks, Level 1 and 2 trade programmes that not only introduces the learner to a specific trade but also develops practical skills and knowledge for employment within the sector.\\n\\nMentoring and support of learners with the completion of a OneFile e-portfolio and associated funding paperwork is required to ensure learners success.\\n\\nDuties and Responsibilities:\\n\\nDeliver pre-defined curriculum to a very high standard, to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of your learners.\\n\\nCompletion of all learner and course related documentation, this will include learner files and relevant tracking documents during the delivery of the course.\\n\\nMentor, observe and assess learners in the classroom and or workshop, providing feedback and guidance to ensure learning standards are met and qualifications are attained within the programme.\\n\\nOffering information, advice, and guidance to promote the development and progression of learners.\\n\\nMeet company, funding & awarding organisation requirements.\\n\\nAssessing the learners’ e-portfolio of evidence to verify achievements have been met.\\n\\nTo provide delivery cover at our Academies and Pop-Up Academies in the East Midlansd region, so regular travel is required\\n\\nSkills, Experience and Qualities:\\n\\nExperience of classroom-based delivery.\\n\\nDemonstrable experience of working with a diverse range of learners.\\n\\nIT literate.\\n\\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\\n\\nStrong attention to detail.\\n\\nAble to follow processes.\\n\\nEnthusiasm in the workplace.\\n\\nWork well under pressure.\\n\\nHave current, relevant occupational expertise and knowledge gained through hands on experience in the Construction industry with Level 3 competencies.\\n\\nEvidence of continued professional development within the occupational sector\\n\\nQualifications:\\n\\nA teaching qualification at a minimum of PTLLS or Level 3 AET.\\n\\nAn assessor award or qualification.\\n\\nA level 3 qualification or occupational competence.\\n\\nMaths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.\\n\\nBenefits\\n\\nA competitive salary\\n\\nMileage in accordance with HMRC\\n\\n25 days holiday + Bank Holidays plus two days additional annual leave following two years’ service\\n\\nHoliday buy and sell scheme\\n\\nEmployer contributory pension scheme\\n\\nHealth Cash Back Scheme\\n\\nContinuous Professional Development\\n\\nAnnual Volunteering Day\\n\\nReferral programme\\n\\nA challenging and rewarding role in a successful and growing business
