Job Description
The role will be based in Watford and will require travel and overnight stays, all expenses provided.\\n\\nIf required full training will be provided to ensure the candidate has all relevant Teaching, Assessing and Occupational competence.\\n\\nSkills People Group are a national provider of Skills Bootcamps, National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and Pre-Employment Training Programmes. We specialise in both commercial and funded training and are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK’s largest private training providers due to the growth of our sector and funding secured.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:\\n\\nCarrying out training and assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of qualifications at levels 2-3, to ensure the successful outcome for the full achievement of the programme in line with contractual requirements.\\n\\nDeliver training modules at employers’ premises to both group and individual learners\\n\\nTo work closely with employers to plan delivery in line with durations agreed.\\n\\nTo upload and track all learning through e-portfolio OneFile so progress is evidence at all times.\\n\\nVisiting learners in the workplace and delivering teaching & learning in line with the qualification requirements\\n\\nProduce monthly progress reports of learners within your caseload.\\n\\nAttend and participate in standardisation as planned / or required.\\n\\nTo take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact\\n\\nComplete all relevant funding documentation and administration tasks to meet compliance requirements.\\n\\nEnsure that all Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety requirements (including Safe Learner Concept) are complied with always, and ensure all learners are given fair access to assessment.\\n\\nIdeally the candidate will possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:\\n\\nExperience within the construction sector is essential\\n\\nExperience of training and assessing in Construction, or the willingness to learn\\n\\nSome knowledge around using an e-portfolio\\n\\nExperience of teaching/training in a workplace environment in groups\\n\\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\\n\\nStrong attention to detail\\n\\nAble to follow processes\\n\\nEnthusiasm in the workplace\\n\\nWork well under pressure\\n\\nExperience within Construction is essential\\n\\nFull UK driving licence and use of own car, prepared to travel\\n\\nThe ideal candidate will either possess or be willing to study towards the following qualifications:\\n\\nA valid teaching qualification at a minimum of PTLLS\\n\\nRecognised NVQ Assessor Qualification e.g. A1 or D32, D22, TAQA\\n\\nIdeally a level 2 qualification in the specialist sectors of delivery\\n\\nMaths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.\\n\\nIn return, Skills People Group will give you:\\n\\nA competitive salary\\n\\n25 days holiday + Bank Holidays plus two days additional annual leave following two years’ service\\n\\nHoliday buy and sell scheme\\n\\nEmployer contributory pension scheme\\n\\nHealth Cash Back Scheme\\n\\nContinuous Professional Development\\n\\nAnnual Volunteering Day\\n\\nReferral programme\\n\\nA challenging and rewarding role in a successful and growing business
