We are currently looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our clients growing team, working within the social housing sector carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties throughout the M25 area of London. This is a varied and rewarding role for a skilled electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. Due to the nature of the contract, candidates must be willing to travel across London and the wider M25 region, as work locations will vary daily.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault finding in domestic properties
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults within occupied and void social housing properties
- Carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and minor installation works
- Replacing and repairing sockets, switches, lighting, extractor fans, consumer units, and associated electrical components
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Completing electrical certificates and job reports where required
- Providing excellent customer service when working within tenanted properties
- Ensuring properties are left clean, safe, and tidy following works completed
- Proven experience as an Approved Electrician
- Experience within social housing responsive repairs desirable
- Must hold relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations essential
- Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable
- AM2 practical assessment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Must be willing to travel across the M25/London area
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence essential
