Our client provides support to key Social Landlord Services such as Aids & Adaptations, Void Repairs, Planned Maintenance and Responsive Repairs from their North West base. They are a Building Repairs and Maintenance Contractor looking for a trade based Multi Skilled Operative that can competently carry out the full duties of one of the following trades:
- Joiner
- Plumber
- Plasterer
Must also have skills & experience in multi trade duties of Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering and Ceramic wall tiling. The ideal candidate will be working on our Social Housing Repairs contracts in planned and reactive maintenance to void and tenanted properties across our main locations of work - Knowsley, Salford & Oldham.
Duties of the successful Multi Skilled Operative will include:
- Liaising with management, clients and tenants ensuring appointments and repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Using their skillset to work effectively in a team to carry out general home maintenance repairs to void & tenanted properties.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in as many of the below duty areas:
- Kitchen, bathroom & Wetroom replacements
- Joinery - UPVC doors & windows, Internal doors & frames, Skirting & architrave etc
- Plastering - Patch Plastering, Damp repairs, full room plastering
- Tiling – Screed & vinyl tiles, Ceramic Wall Tiling
- Painting & Decorating
And must also have the below qualities:
- Hold a relevant trades qualification (NVQ2 or equivalent)
- Hold a full Clean UK Driving Licence
- Have experience in Social Housing Repairs
- Have, or are willing to have a DBS check.
In return, the successful Multi Skilled Operative will receive:
- A temp to permanent position, with an annual salary of £34,000 once permanent
- 20 Days holiday to pick of their own per year + 1 week shut down at Christmas + All Bank Holidays = 31 Days in total
- Opportunity to enrol into the company’s chosen pension scheme.
- A company van and fuel card will also be supplied.
