We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical compliance, testing quality, and service delivery across a key regional contract within the property maintenance and refurbishment sector. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical operations, ensuring full compliance with NICEIC and BS7671 standards, supporting field operatives, and driving high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for all electrical works across multiple sites. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage and support multiple workstreams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Technical Oversight
- Act as the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor for designated contracts
- Review, validate, and sign off electrical certification
- Ensure compliance with BS7671 and all relevant electrical legislation
- Maintain NICEIC accreditation standards and support annual assessments
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and technical evaluations
- Ensure all electrical works meet safety and quality standards
- Operational Supervision
- Supervise electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors across multiple sites
- Coordinate labour allocation and technical resources
- Support reactive maintenance and planned works programmes
- Drive improvements in testing, inspection, diagnostic, and installation standards
- Monitor first-time fix performance and service delivery quality
- Technical Support & Commercial Input
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to site teams
- Assist with variations, remedial works, and technical submissions
- Support estimating, scoping, and pricing activities alongside commercial teams
- Ensure accurate reporting and use of digital certification systems
- Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal departments
- Support training, mentoring, and development of electrical operatives
- Promote a strong safety culture and champion safe working practices at all times
Essential Experience
- Proven experience working as an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
- Strong background in electrical testing, inspection, and maintenance
- Experience supervising electrical operatives across multiple sites
- Experience reviewing and signing off electrical certification
- Knowledge of domestic and social housing electrical works
- Strong understanding of BS7671 and electrical compliance requirements
