We are recruiting on behalf of an established property services contractor delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment services across the social housing sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to oversee subcontractors delivering damp and mould repairs and maintenance across the Hatfield area.

The Role

This is a hands-on supervisory position, ideal for someone with strong multi-trade knowledge and experience managing a mobile workforce. You will be responsible for day-to-day performance, quality and service delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors delivering damp and mould repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure works are completed on time and to specification.
  • Monitor productivity, performance and quality through regular site visits.
  • Review completed works, coding accuracy and variations.
  • Liaise with planners, administrators and client teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, risk assessments and site inspections.
  • Support resource planning and coordination.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, clients and colleagues.
  • Mentor apprentices and support the development of team capability.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Repairs Supervisor or Senior Operative within social housing or property maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and compliance procedures.
  • Experience managing teams and monitoring performance.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office and mobile work management systems.
  • CSCS card.
  • SSSTS, SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely preferred.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
