The Role

We are recruiting for a qualified Electrician to carry out electrical installations, repairs, servicing, testing, and maintenance across planned works, void properties, and responsive maintenance contracts. Working within domestic and commercial environments, you will ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations within residential and commercial properties.
  • Complete rewires, consumer unit upgrades, smoke alarm installations, extractor fans, shower circuits, and remedial works.
  • Diagnose faults and complete responsive maintenance repairs.
  • Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and EICRs.
  • Ensure all work complies with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Maintain accurate job records, certifications, and reports using PDA/mobile technology.
  • Liaise with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Carry out risk assessments and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
  • Support apprentices and junior team members when necessary.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working within planned maintenance, responsive repairs, or social housing environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical heating systems, cookers, and domestic installations.
  • Competent using PDA/mobile job management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Additional certifications such as Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, and Manual Handling are advantageous.
