We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established roofing and construction business for an experienced and proactive Contracts Manager specialising in flat roofing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and operationally strong individual to manage projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, efficient, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple flat roofing contracts from inception to completion
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, materials, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, and programme delivery
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Promote a culture of health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within roofing or construction
- Extensive knowledge of flat roofing systems, including:
- Single ply
- Built-up felt
- Liquid systems
- EPDM
- GRP/Fibreglass
- Green roofing systems
- Strong commercial awareness and project management ability
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple live projects and teams simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- IOSH or NEBOSH
- Relevant roofing qualifications or accreditations
