Electrical Manager in Oldbury, West Midlands

Our client is a well established business who deliver all permissible fabric and renewable heating measures to domestic properties.

They have grown to become one of the most reputable, reliable specialists within the UK renewable, heating, and insulation sectors. Working with large energy companies, local authorities, and housing associations to make homes warmer and more affordable.

Due to a period of growth, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Manager to join their ever growing team in the Midlands office.

Main Responsibilities:

• Managing the supply chain, working with the compliance team to ensure all subcontractors have been onboarded to the company standard
• Conducting regular site audits on both internal and external operatives
• Assessing documentation including certification from both internal and external operatives
• Signing off invoices, ensuring that all works have been completed to a high standard and that all paperwork and pictures have been submitted before approval
• Overseeing the works scheduled by the office team, ensuring the right instruction is given and diaries are sent out in a timely manner

Qualifications and Key Skills

The successful candidate will have the relevant qualifications:

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship
• 18th Edition with Amendment 2
• Testing and Inspection 2391
• Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Solar Photovoltaic Systems

The successful candidate will also:

• Have good experience within domestic and commercial sectors
• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety
• Have a good working knowledge of Part F Regulations
• Be an effective communicator able to adapt communication style depending on the audience, including stakeholder management.
• Have highly developed organisational, planning, and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Preferably have experience dealing with retrofit designs and installs for social housing, this is desirable but not a requirement.
