Damp & Mould Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Damp & Mould Supervisor to oversee teams of subcontractors delivering repairs and maintenance works across residential properties.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, driving performance, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

You'll ensure works are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with all relevant compliance and health & safety requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and support a mobile workforce while delivering outstanding results and positive resident experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors carrying out damp and mould repairs and maintenance works.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, to specification, and to a high standard.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and performance through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Review completed works, ensuring coding accuracy and appropriate justification for variations.
  • Liaise with planners, administrators, and operational teams to maintain efficient workflows and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, conduct risk assessments, and complete site inspections to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Assist with resource planning and scheduling to ensure effective delivery of works.
  • Build positive working relationships with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders, maintaining a professional approach at all times.
  • Support, mentor, and develop apprentices and team members to encourage continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor, Damp & Mould Supervisor, or Senior Operative within social housing or property maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, and compliance procedures.
  • Experience managing subcontractors or operational teams and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile work management systems.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • SSSTS, SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely qualification (preferred).
  • A full UK driving licence.
