An established commercial property and construction group is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of industrial construction projects across sites in Chorley and Wrexham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering industrial sheds, warehouses, steel-frame buildings, cladding, envelope works or large commercial/industrial developments. The role will require regular travel between Chorley and Wrexham, so the successful candidate must be comfortable commuting across both locations as part of the position.

The Role

  • Managing the delivery of industrial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Overseeing programme, site progress, quality, health & safety and budget control
  • Coordinating subcontractors, site teams, consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the delivery of steel-frame, cladding, envelope and superstructure works
  • Monitoring commercial budgets and ensuring projects are delivered within agreed cost parameters
  • Producing progress reports and updates for senior management
  • Identifying project risks and resolving issues proactively
  • Ensuring works are completed on time, safely and to the required standard
  • Travelling between sites in Chorley and Wrexham as required

The Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction
  • Experience delivering industrial sheds, warehouses, steel-frame buildings or commercial/industrial schemes
  • Strong understanding of programme management, site coordination, health & safety and commercial control
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to project delivery
  • Willingness to commute between Chorley and Wrexham
  • SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualifications would be beneficial
